Dr Michael Nwankpa will discuss his new book, Nigeria’s Fourth Republic, 1999-2021: A Militarised Democracy (Routledge, 2022), offering a critical analysis of Nigeria’s Fourth Republic, the longest democratic period since Nigeria gainedindependence. His paper will be followed by a discussion, chaired by Dr Oliver Coates.
