This event is part of the Michaelmas term public seminar series,'The International Politics of Armed Groups in Africa'.
Caroline Mbinkar will be in conversation with Abii-Tah Bih about the history and the international politics of the anglophone conflict in Cameroon. She will discuss how and why armed conflict came about and will explain the sources of fragmentation in the Ambazonian resistance. In particular, Mkinkar will focus on the strategies used by the Ambazonian resistance to leverage international support and funds, as well as disagreements and differences within the movement. She will also discuss the strategies used by the Cameroonian government in the conflict.
