Zachary Blanchard

Biography

I'm from Louisiana, US. I graduated from the US Naval Academy in May, with dual degrees in Astrospace Engineering and Political Science. I love budget travelling, participating in sports, and debating religion and politics. I will be an officer in the US Marine Corps after Cambridge.

Research

My research interests include: East African local governance, civil-military relations (both in East Africa and in the US), and the political economics of development. I expect my thesis will either compare/contrast different models for local governance across the East African Community, or compare/contrast the development of Rwanda and Ghana since 2000.
