My MPhil research focussed on the historical memory of the Nigerian Civil War and the Biafran State, particularly through indigenous and diasporic Nigerian voices. The project is reflective of broader interests in the history and anthropology of humanitarianism and black intellectual history. The African Studies program has given me the opportunity to work with Dr Ruth Watson, an expert in Nigerian history, and thus an invaluable resource for my exploration of the historical memory of Biafra. In May 2013, I graduated from Harvard University with a bachelors in History and Science.
